About Us

Hi There!

The year was 2013 and we were cashiering at Avanti's in Normal. Both anxious to become servers, we met up at Starbucks to strategize. The story goes that Courtney begged Kelli to hang out with her, but we won't get into the details. We've been friends ever since!

Both of us love to go out on the town and explore. We were always checking out new places and swore that we knew where to find the best things around town. As a townie, Kelli knew the old and Courtney helped discover the new.

Our journey with The 309 Adventure began in 2017 when we started making seasonal to do lists. We thought it would be a fun way to keep track of all the things on our bucket lists for that season. We started to share our adventure. It wasn't until the pandemic of 2020 that we decided to refocus on promoting our favorite places in the local community.

Behind the scenes, Courtney works as a social media manager and Kelli is a  licensed counselor.
