Since we are still awaiting the end of the pandemic, my typical Bakestravaganza tradition looked a little different this year. I still pulled out all the stops and got to spread the joy with some sweet treats.
I am very excited to share a recipe I accidentally invented while trying to use up some leftover ingredients. It ended up being my favorite thing I made! They are a no bake dessert and just require a little bit of patience, but are very simple!
Chocolate Toffee Pretzels
Ingredients:
-milk chocolate chips
-m&ms, crushed
-snap style pretzels
-Heath chips
-sprinkles
-sea salt
Steps:
before beginning, crush m&ms into smaller chunks with a rolling pin. cover a large baking sheet with parchment paper
melt chocolate chips in microwave, stirring often so they don't burn
combine pretzels and melted chocolate in a large bowl. Gently stir to coat pretzels without breaking them.
remove pretzels from chocolate after they have a THIN layer (scrape extra off if necessary). Arrange in single layer on baking sheet (this is the most time consuming part)
sprinkle m&ms, toffee chips, sprinkles, and several pinches of sea salt onto pretzels
refrigerate until hardened
