McLean County Museum of History

Updated: Jul 20, 2021

Although hard to miss in historic downtown Bloomington, the McLean County Museum of History can often be passed over by locals. The question you might be asking... what's even in there? Well, that's part of the fun!

This is a great cold or rainy weather day when you are looking to do something new in the area. We enjoyed our visit and were surprised how interesting some of the exhibits are. A few of our favorites were the extensive pedal car exhibit, the old courtroom, and the opportunity to practice writing with a feather and ink!

If you are looking to kill an hour, this could be a quick trip, or history buffs may spend more time. Admission is free on Tuesdays, for students, and on Saturday mornings during the Farmer's Market, so there is no reason not to go!
