I am the first to admit that these 'energy teas' had be extremely suspicious. I thought they sounded like an energy drink which has never been my thing. I will also admit to being thrown off by the location of The Hideout, to the point where I ended up parking in a different lot and walking over! This ended up being a great example of why you should not judge a book by it's cover. What I discovered inside was an awesome place! There was even a puppy the day I visited!
First of all, the energizing teas are not like energy drinks at all, and they are all delicious. They provide a natural energy that doesn't leave you jittery... and this is coming from someone who rarely even drinks caffeinated coffee. The drinks can run a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Better ingredients = higher price of goods.
Second, this place is doing great things in the community. The owners are veterans who want to give back to other veterans so they make a point of donating to worthy causes each month. That is a business model I can get behind.
If you are not sure what to get, ask them for a suggestion! All of the flavors can be overwhelming, but I'm willing to bet you will enjoy any of them!
